I have a love for the German language that I would like to share with you. In high school, I completed four years of German. During that time, I spent time as a foreign exchange student to Bavaria on two separate occasions during high school. Following high school, I received my BA in English and German. After undergraduate school, I went to Michigan State University where I obtained my MA in German studies. About six years ago, I obtained my certification to teach English and German at the secondary level. While in high school, I was accepted into the National Honor Society and it was at that time that I became a tutor. My vast teaching experience includes time I spent working as a TA at Michigan State. While there, I helped teach beginning and intermediate students as well as design assessments. My experience also includes time that I spent as a tutor at Alma College.I have a special personal connection to the culture and language of Germany and it has always had a special place in my heart, thus making it a favorite subject to teach. In order to make learning German a fun experience, I enjoy incorporating games and activities into my sessions with a student. I hope to be able to assist you in finding a love for German as well!In my spare time, I like to write, read, and watch films.
